Editorial Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026 · Hub of GTA Editors
Independence
Hub of GTA is an independent fan publication. We have no financial relationship with Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or any publisher, developer, or platform holder. We do not receive early access, review copies, or payments in exchange for coverage.
The site is supported by display advertising (Google AdSense) and does not have sponsored editorial content. Advertisements are clearly separated from editorial content.
Sourcing Standards
We use a three-tier source hierarchy:
Official sources
Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive (earnings calls, press releases, official social accounts). We link directly to the primary source.
Verified journalists
Reports from established outlets (IGN, Kotaku, Eurogamer, VGC, Bloomberg) with named sources or documented evidence.
Community analysis / leakers
Clearly labelled as "rumoured" or "unconfirmed." We only cover leakers with a documented track record. We do not amplify anonymous unverifiable claims.
Confirmed vs Rumoured
Every database entry (characters, vehicles, weapons, map regions) is tagged as either ✓ Confirmed or ◎ Rumored. Confirmed means a Tier 1 or Tier 2 source has established the fact. Rumoured means it comes from community analysis, datamines, or Tier 3 leakers.
These tags are updated within 24 hours when status changes — for example, when a rumoured vehicle appears in an official trailer.
Corrections Policy
We correct errors as soon as they are identified. For significant factual corrections (wrong dates, wrong prices, misattributed quotes), we update the article and note what changed and when at the bottom of the article.
Minor corrections (typos, formatting) are fixed silently.
To report a factual error, use the contact page. We aim to respond to correction requests within 48 hours.
Update Policy
News articles carry a "Published" date and a "Last updated" date (visible on the article page). When an article is substantially updated — not just corrected — we note what new information was added.
Database pages (characters, vehicles, weapons, map) are updated continuously as new information becomes available, without individual update notices unless the change is significant.
AI & Automation
Hub of GTA does not use AI to generate news articles or character descriptions. All editorial content is written and reviewed by human editors. We use standard web development tools and automation for site infrastructure (build pipelines, sitemaps, structured data) — not for editorial content generation.
Copyright & Fair Use
Screenshots, trailers, and promotional materials from Rockstar Games are used under fair use for the purposes of commentary, criticism, and fan reporting. All trademarks (Grand Theft Auto, GTA, Rockstar Games) remain the property of their respective owners. Hub of GTA claims no ownership over Rockstar intellectual property.
