On October 13, 2026, GamesBeat reported that Rockstar plans to release the PC version of GTA 6 within the first three months of 2027. The report cites four industry sources familiar with Rockstar's plans, all anonymous. Rockstar did not respond to a request for comment, and the official GTA 6 page still lists only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
What the Report Says, and Doesn't
- Window: January to March 2027.
- No specifics: no day, price, storefront or system requirements.
- Reasoning: GamesBeat argues PC widens the audience for a game with a reported budget north of $2 billion.
- One wrinkle: coverage notes the article also refers to a November 2027 date in one paragraph, almost certainly a typo for the November 2026 console launch.
How It Compares With Rockstar's History
A Q1 2027 release would be roughly two to four months after consoles, far shorter than Rockstar has managed before: about seven months for GTA IV, twelve for Red Dead Redemption 2 and nineteen for GTA V. That gap is why our May analysis estimated Q1–Q2 2028. If GamesBeat is right, Rockstar is breaking its own pattern.
How Credible Is It?
Four sources is more than most GTA 6 rumours have had, and GamesBeat is an established outlet. It also fits Take-Two's recent tone: CEO Strauss Zelnick called PC "more and more important" in September. But there is no on-record confirmation, and Rockstar historically announces PC versions only months ahead. GTA V's PC port was announced in June 2014 and RDR2's in October 2019. We are treating Q1 2027 as the most credible report so far, not a fact.
If You Only Have a PC
Nothing changes for launch day: there is no way to play GTA 6 on PC on November 19. Ignore any site offering a "GTA 6 PC download". Until Rockstar announces a version, those are scams or malware.
We have built an evergreen GTA 6 PC release date tracker that separates confirmed statements from reports and will be updated the moment Rockstar says anything.
