Confirmed official Rockstar, Take-Two or platform source. Reported a named outlet, not confirmed by Rockstar. Rumour unverified, treat with caution.
Confirmed GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026. It doesn't unlock everywhere at the same moment, though. PlayStation Store listings show a rolling release at local midnight, starting in the Pacific and finishing in the Americas.
Reported These times come from the PlayStation Store listings, as reported by Kotaku, MP1st and Vice. Vice notes that Rockstar has not itself confirmed the schedule, and that it could change before launch. On November 4 we also checked the PlayStation Store's own timestamps directly, and they matched 13 of the 15 rows below (we didn't check Indonesia and Thailand, or Bolivia).

What this means if you live in the US
The listing is midnight Eastern across the US and Canada, so West Coast players can start at 9 p.m. PT on November 18. By then the game will have been out in New Zealand for about 18 hours, which matters if you want to avoid spoilers.
Does Xbox unlock at the same time?
Rumour Reports disagree. Some say Xbox matches PlayStation in each region, others say to check Xbox timing separately. The published table is from the PlayStation Store, so treat it as a strong guide on Xbox rather than a guarantee. We'll update this post when Microsoft or Rockstar publishes a time.
Does your location or your account decide?
Reported Vice reports that it is the country tied to your PlayStation account, not your physical location. Here is why changing region to play early isn't simple.
