Where the date comes from

Reported Leaker NateTheHate posted on October 26 that Rockstar had started sending review codes to media, with an embargo on November 18. Insider Gaming says it has independently verified the date.

Review codes going out in late October would give critics about three weeks with the game.

Could some reviews arrive later?

Rumour A separate leak says some outlets or YouTube channels may have to wait until launch itself, with a time of 12:01 a.m. ET on November 19. We haven't seen this corroborated, and it's the kind of detail that's easy to get wrong.

Whichever is right, expect some big reviews before the first regions unlock, and more over launch week. Note that New Zealand unlocks at 11:00 UTC on November 18, so the reviews and the game could arrive within hours of each other.

What it means if you haven't bought yet
