Rockstar released the GTA 6 Launch Trailer on October 15, 2026, with no teaser, five weeks before release. It is the series' fourth major video after Trailer 1 (December 4, 2023, 1:31), Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025, 2:47) and the Extended Look (August 27, 2026, 26:48). It is also the shortest since the first, at about a minute and a half.

The Song: Justice, Not a Licensed Track

Trailers 1 and 2 used licensed songs: Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road" and The Pointer Sisters' "Hot Together". The launch trailer debuts "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, an original song. Justice are the composers of GTA 6's original score, and Rockstar has confirmed the track will be on the official soundtrack. It is likely the lead single for GTA VI: The Album, out November 19.

What It Shows

  • Jason's backstory: "I got in trouble in the army. Didn't leave on the best of terms." It is the clearest statement yet of why the army veteran ended up running jobs in the Keys.
  • The Keys: much of the trailer takes Jason and Lucia through the Leonida Keys, where Rockstar has said the game begins.
  • A first for the series: an intimate shower scene between Jason and Lucia, the first on-screen moment of its kind in a GTA trailer. It reinforces that their relationship is the spine of the story.
  • The usual: gunfights, robberies and driving, framed as the couple's last-chance escape.

Where's Xbox?

As with earlier marketing, the trailer and Rockstar's site carry "Plays Best on PS5" branding, and Xbox is not shown. That reflects PlayStation's prominent role in the marketing, not exclusivity: GTA 6 still launches on Xbox Series X|S on November 19.

Is This the Last Trailer?

Rockstar calls it the launch trailer, so it is very likely the final big one before release. Short TV and cinema spots are expected as the marketing push ramps up. For launch logistics, see our pre-load and file size checklist. The countdown is on our release date page.
