GTA 6 launches in 30 days, on Thursday, November 19, 2026. October has been the busiest month of the campaign so far. Here is everything that has happened, then a one-screen cheat sheet of what is confirmed.
October So Far
- Early October: rated M and PEGI 18. Seven ESRB descriptors and an In-Game Purchases notice. What the labels mean.
- October 8: six radio stations. Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen, Burna Boy and Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya host; Flash FM returns. Full list.

The Cast: Stephen Root Confirms
Actor Stephen Root (King of the Hill, Barry) told the Associated Press he is in GTA 6, the first cast member to say so publicly. Fans had already recognised his voice as Brian, Jason's drug-running boss, in Trailer 2 and the Extended Look. Rockstar has not published a cast list. See Brian Heder's profile.
Off the Screen: Tribunal and Trial
The Glasgow employment tribunal over Rockstar's dismissal of 34 workers, 31 of them IWGB union members, was due to finish on October 16. It has been extended: the judge granted Rockstar's request for more time to cross-examine some former employees, and new dates are set for November 16 and 17, days before launch. Separately, Arion Kurtaj, the hacker behind the 2022 GTA 6 leak, faces a retrial in November after being moved from a secure hospital to prison, according to the BBC.
