Why prices differ
Publishers set regional prices, and they don't follow exchange rates exactly. Sales tax also muddies comparisons: UK and EU shelf prices generally include VAT, while US listings generally show tax at checkout. That's general background rather than anything Rockstar has explained about GTA 6.
What the Ultimate gap buys

Should you buy from another region?
We wouldn't. Vice reports that PlayStation doesn't let you change an existing account's region, so you would need a separate account and possibly a local payment method. Your purchases would also sit on that other account. Our look at the New Zealand trick explains the catches.
