Is GTA 6 on Game Pass, PS Plus, PS4 or Cloud? Every Platform Question Answered

Here are the platform questions that come up most, with what's actually on record.

Which platforms is GTA 6 on?

Confirmed PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, on November 19, 2026. Nothing else has been announced.

Platform	Status
PS5 and PS5 Pro	Confirmed Launch
Xbox Series X|S	Confirmed Launch
PC	Not announced. Reported Reports vary on timing
PS4	Not announced
Xbox One	Not announced
Nintendo Switch 2	Not announced

Is GTA 6 on Game Pass?

No such announcement exists. Reported Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has argued, in comments reported by PCGamesN, that putting frontline titles on subscription services on day one doesn't make financial sense. That isn't a Game Pass ruling for all time, but it's the best guide to the company's thinking. There's no confirmed date for it to join later either.

Is GTA 6 on PS Plus?

Again, no announcement. Reported Push Square reported Zelnick making the same kind of argument in 2024, in terms of subscriptions in general. Expect to pay full price on either console at launch.

Can you stream GTA 6 on Xbox Cloud Gaming?

Reported In October, The Verge reported that Xbox Cloud Gaming had a deal to stream GTA 6, which would have put it on PC and mobile on day one.

Confirmed Xbox chief strategy officer Matthew Ball then said on X that this was misreporting. He said GTA VI launches on Xbox on November 19, though the game will not be streaming exclusively or to PC.

So don't count on playing via a PC stream on launch day. Ball's statement doesn't settle cloud streaming on every other device, so keep an eye on Xbox's own announcements.

So what should you do without a current console?

• Want it at launch: you'll need a PS5 or an Xbox Series console. Compare them here.
• On PC: you'll have to wait for an announcement. Our PC tracker only changes when something official does.
